The "Niflheim Town" Map is a perfect Map for Halloween purposes, but can of course also be used a regular Map. In fact it is a town, however it could be a special dungeon as well. Niflheim is made of 2 Maps, where the second Map contains both interiors, which are the inside of two houses where the player can actually enter. All the SFX are placed to create a deep atmosphere that gives a creepy and mysterious feeling. We recommend to use the Map as either an Dungeon, or a Town with some NPCs to interact with, that could offer some great Quests.
The Map is ideal for early, mid or late-game purposes and offers a different feeling compared to common maps.
What you will get:
• Full Map including Models & SFX
• A HTML you can open inside your browser, which contains the following:
- Resource entries for mdlObj.inc, defineWorld.h, world.inc and coreserver.ini
- Required Source changes
Important: This map is a high-end one and may consume more RAM than usual Maps. For my own client, the RAM usage on this Map is around 900 MB. 32 bit clients can handle up to 4GB Ram, which is fine for this Map. However, it would be wise in any case to use a 64 bit client if you have the possibility.
*The "classic" method is known as the common way to create Maps by using and combining objects and SFX. However the collisions of border(so "invisible walls") to prevent the player from accessing areas outsite of the desired spots, are being made using special invisible collisions objects and original Flyff no-move areas. The floor where the player walks on does not include collision on objects, but instead uses original invisible Flyff terrain to avoid performance issues.
Please note: Other than the "One-O3D" method, you will be able to select and move most of the objects inside the Worldeditor/Map! Another thing to note: So called Z-Fighting can slighty appear and the character could rarely float slightly above or under the surface.
